Founded in 1993 by his father Jim Senior and his mother Jane, Jim Bartlebaugh worked with his father to build JB Trailer Service into its current form. While the shop was Jim Senior’s dream from the get-go, the shop wouldn’t have come to fruition and become what it is today without his wife Jane’s support. While Jim Senior would work at JB Trailer Service from its inception, Jane would not begin working fully at the shop until around 2006. Both her and Jim Senior would retire in 2020, shortly before the latter passed unexpectedly on November 29, 2022. While today Jane still shares ownership of the shop with Jim Junior, she’s no longer involved with day-to-day operations. Jim and the JB Trailer Service team fondly remember Jim Senior, seeing him as the heart of the company from its inception. Even today, Jim Junior and the team continue their work in dedication to him and strive to consistently meet the ideals he set when he founded JB Trailer Service three decades ago.

Still family-owned and operated to this day, JB Trailer Service’s team of 18 mechanics shares over a century of experience between them. Combined with seven full bays and around a decade of no turnover for the team, JB Trailer Service has become Fontana’s premier heavy-duty repair shop. Although specialized in trailer and liftgate work, we also provide various services for fleets and owner-operators, including full-spectrum mobile and roadside services that can bring the full capabilities of the shop to wherever the client might need them.
